We are looking for an experienced librarian to join our team in Sharjah! Our librarians play an important role in ensuring the success of our library, providing patrons with access to information and materials that meet their needs.

Job Responsibilities:
-Organizing, cataloguing and maintaining library collection in accordance with established standards.
-Assisting patrons with locating materials and answering reference questions.
-Implementing library policies and procedures to ensure effective functioning of the library.
-Performing circulation duties such as checking out books, collecting fines, renewing materials, etc.
-Assisting patrons in using electronic databases and other online resources for research purposes.
-Developing programs that promote library usage by children, teens, adults, etc.
Requirements:
-Bachelor degree in Library Science or related field; Masterâs degree is preferred.
-2+ yearsâ experience working as a Librarian or equivalent position in a public or private library setting is required.
-Strong knowledge of library operations including cataloguing and classification systems; understanding of copyright laws is highly preferred .
-Proficiency in the use of relevant software applications such as Word processing, spreadsheet, database management systems etc.
