Job Title: Librarian

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Salary: 1600 AED/month

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Librarian in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing library services, providing information and guidance to customers, and maintaining library collections. We are willing to consider an immigrant who meets the qualifications.

We are seeking a candidate with excellent organizational skills, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in computer applications. The ideal candidate should have minimal work experience in a library setting and must possess an aptitude for working with computers.

Responsibilities:

- Manage library services, including circulation desk activities and book processing

- Provide information to customers regarding library policies and procedures

- Assist customers in locating library materials and using the online catalog

- Maintain records of library materials in the online catalog system

- Ensure proper shelving of library materials

- Process new books by inputting data into the online catalog system

- Monitor overdue items and take appropriate action when necessary

- Assist with special projects such as book displays or workshops


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred, but not required

- Minimal work experience in a library setting. We are willing to consider an immigrant who meets the qualifications.

- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

- Strong customer service skills

- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
