Accountant - Sharjah

Salary: 1400 AED

Requirements for the Candidate:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and principles.
• Familiarity with financial and accounting software packages (e.g. QuickBooks).
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in work product.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Arabic is a plus.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate recording of all financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and other accounting tasks as needed. This position is open to both immigrants and local candidates alike who meet the requirements listed above.

Responsibilities & Duties:
• Record day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable/receivable into QuickBooks software as required by management; manage vendor relationships as needed to ensure timely payments of invoices.
• Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis and investigate any discrepancies; maintain general ledger records up-to-date at all times; provide supporting documentation for audits if required by management or auditors from time to time.
• Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement; analyze financial data and provide interpretations as needed by management or external parties such as auditors or banks when requested; assist with budgeting processes when needed.
• Work closely with other departments within the organization such as sales team or inventory team to ensure accurate data entry into QuickBooks software; update customer accounts information as needed on a regular basis; answer customer questions about invoices or payments as necessary.
