Job Summary:
Optometrists at Al Shamkhah City are responsible for providing eye care services to patients of all ages. This includes performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating common vision problems, managing contact lenses and prescribing glasses or contact lenses as needed. Optometrists must also be knowledgeable in ocular diseases and their treatments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive eye exams for both adults and children
• Educate patients about proper eye health
• Diagnose ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration
• Prescribe glasses and contacts as needed
• Evaluate patients’ vision to determine the best corrective lenses or treatment options
• Monitor patient progress over time to ensure the success of their treatment plan
• Provide referrals when necessary to other health care specialists for further diagnosis or treatment
• Keep detailed records of patient visits in electronic health records (EHR) system
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Optometry from an accredited school of optometry
• Optometry license from the applicable state board of optometry
• 1 year experience working as an optometrist preferred
