Experienced Librarian - Abu Dhabi, UAE
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This position requires a professional with excellent organizational skills and a passion for knowledge. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of library operations and procedures, as well as a commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
The successful applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in the library field, preferably in an academic setting. He/She should be competent in cataloging books, organizing digital records, and managing circulation systems. The candidate should also be fluent in English and possess excellent communication skills. Familiarity with Pakistani culture is preferred but not required.
The role of the Librarian involves providing assistance to patrons in selecting materials; cataloging new materials; preparing book displays; maintaining reference and research collections; ensuring that shelving areas are orderly; overseeing circulation activities; training staff on library procedures; creating digital records; developing innovative programs to promote reading and learning activities; and participating in library committees.
