Cashier - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
We are looking for an experienced Cashier to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate should possess strong customer service and communication skills and have a good understanding of cash handling procedures. Preference will be given to candidates who can speak English fluently and have previous experience working in a similar role. Accommodation will not be provided.
Responsibilities include:
• Collecting payments from customers
• Calculating total payments received during a time period
• Maintaining accurate records of transactions
• Balancing daily cash receipts
• Answering customers' questions about payment options
• Processing refunds or exchanges as needed
• Resolving customer complaints in a timely manner
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures related to cash handling
Requirements:
• Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and cash management principles
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and electronic equipment such as debit card readers, scanners, scales, etc.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
• Fluency in English language (oral & written) is preferred but not essential
• Previous experience working with African clients preferred
