Part-Time Librarian in Dubai, UAE

We are currently seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team in Dubai, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining our library collection, assisting patrons with finding resources, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain library collection by cataloguing books, periodicals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with finding resources and answering reference questions
- Provide excellent customer service to all library visitors
- Process new materials for the library collection
- Create displays and promote new materials to increase circulation
- Keep track of library inventory and order new materials as needed
- Train and supervise library volunteers or interns
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the library
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement programs or events
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in library science and technology

Requirements:
- Must be a citizen of an African country (preference)
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Available to work part-time hours including evenings and weekends (flexible schedule)
- Familiarity with cataloguing systems such as Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (not required but preferred)
- Previous experience working in a library setting (not required but preferred)
