Librarian at a Multicultural Library in Abu Dhabi, UAE


We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Librarian to join our multicultural library in Abu Dhabi. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials, as well as providing assistance to library patrons.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition and cataloging of new materials for the library's collection
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources
- Plan and organize events and programs to promote literacy and community engagement
- Maintain the library's online catalog and database systems
- Ensure that all materials are properly shelved and organized according to the library's system
- Provide reference services to help patrons with research and information needs

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Malayalam is a plus)
- Must have a valid visa for employment in UAE
