The Business Development Manager will set key performance targets for significant partners and undertake an active role in account management and strategic planning to achieve these targets. They will develop the business by ensuring high levels of service and face to face interaction where possible to capitalise on any business opportunities thereby growing the business and increasing the market share in accordance with the medium and long term strategy.
In this role you will:
Generic
- Develop and implement an annual business plan in line with the medium-long term business strategy which specifies how defined revenue targets will be achieved.
- Whilst working with the pricing team to ensure EKH has access to the most relevant EK air fares actively benchmark and effectively use CBI to drive actionable commercial insights and implement monitor and propose recommendations according to shifting market trends
- Manage the research analysis and negotiation of existing and new business. Oversee the performance of existing business including the promotion of Groups and ecommerce and provide regular reporting to ensure market specific targets and key performance indicators are achieved as well as any challenges highlighted.
- Interact network establish support and manage contacts at the highest level with clients local authorities government officials and suppliers to enhance the company's image and to facilitate the flow of information to maintain the business edge over its competitors. Work with EKH product and pricing teams to ensure EKH is competitive and providing the optimal product to ensure customers have an easy sell for EKH.
- Recommend introduce and manage market/campaign specific incentives to improve agent engagement. Plan implement and monitor the effectiveness of all promotional collateral and advertising material in collaboration with commercial support and corporate communications ensuring maximum market exposure and that the company's targets in terms of market share are met.
- Conduct extensive market analysis and gather product intelligence and competitor information in various markets to ensure the business maintains its competitive edge in terms of service levels and product innovation.
- Plan and lead the delivery of high quality sales and training presentations to clients to increase destination awareness and system usage enhancing the business reputation as a quality service provider and increasing quotation volumes to secure incremental businesses.
- Attend networking events to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients franchisees suppliers local authorities and government officials to ensure that business opportunities are maximised.
- Be the point of contact and escalation for outstation teams when dealing with internal EKH departments while effectively leading and guiding teams at headquarters and outstations to produce more revenue opportunities.
Specific to BDM (Government):
- Manage EKH sales towards Government bodies Schools and Corporates to attract leisure traffic and contribute to the overall revenue targets.
Specific to BDM (Regional):
- Working in collaboration with local stations and Emirates head office teams identify and evaluate new markets and sources of business that present additional revenue opportunities. Actively participate in the promotion of Dubai and the business with potential clients and the media where relevant.
- Manage EKH sales teams at both head office and local level to ensure engagement with strategic intent and focus on achieving overall market revenue targets.
