Part-Time Librarian
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Nationality: Indian (preferred)


We are seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and managing our library resources, providing excellent customer service to library patrons, and promoting literacy and reading culture.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, magazines, newspapers, and other materials
- Assist library patrons with finding resources and checking out materials
- Answer reference questions and provide information on library policies and procedures
- Plan and conduct library programs and events to promote reading culture and literacy
- Create displays and exhibits to highlight different resources and themes
- Catalog new materials using the appropriate classification system
- Monitor the condition of books and other materials, making recommendations for repair or replacement when necessary

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a library setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with different classification systems (Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress)
- Must have own visa (no sponsorship provided)
