Librarian - Part Time (Pakistani/Egyptian Nationals)
We are hiring a part-time Librarian for our library in Sharjah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's collection of books, resources, and other materials. This position is open to Pakistani and Egyptian nationals who have experience in library management and hold a biometric passport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the organization and cataloging of books, magazines, journals, and other materials in the library
- Monitor the borrowing and returning of items by patrons
- Assist patrons with finding resources and provide recommendations for further reading
- Process new book acquisitions and maintain accurate records of the library's inventory
- Keep the library space clean and tidy at all times
- Maintain knowledge of current literature, trends, and developments in the field
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or Information Science preferred
- Previous experience working as a librarian or in a similar role required
- Proficient in using library software systems for cataloging and circulation management
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to assist patrons with their inquiries
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week. The schedule will be determined based on the needs of the library.
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.
