Librarian for Public Library in Sharjah, UAE


A reputable public library in Sharjah, UAE is seeking an experienced Librarian to join our team. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for books, information and technology.

Responsibilities:
- Assist library patrons with book selection and research inquiries
- Maintain and organize library collections
- Develop and implement programs and services to promote literacy and reading
- Train and supervise library staff
- Stay updated on the latest trends in library technology and services
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other libraries to promote library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Librarian in a public library setting
- Knowledge of current library trends, technologies, and best practices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred but not required
