Executive Chef - Ar-Ruwais, Contract Position
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Ar-Ruwais on a contract basis. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and leading a team of culinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create innovative menu items that align with our restaurant's concept
- Source high-quality ingredients and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Oversee kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and develop kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and special event menus
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Creativity in menu development and presentation
- Excellent time management skills to meet fast-paced demands of the kitchen
- Strong understanding of food cost control measures
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Fluent in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
Salary: $1600 per month
