Librarian - Part Time (Sharjah, UAE)
A reputable library in Sharjah is seeking a part-time Librarian to join their team. This position is open to all nationalities, with no English language requirement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, and possess excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of books and other materials
- Help patrons locate resources and provide assistance with research
- Organize and classify materials according to library standards
- Maintain the library's cataloging system and ensure accuracy of records
- Assist with budget management and purchasing of new materials
- Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and reading in the community
- Train and supervise library assistants
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Experience working in a library or similar setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Proficiency in using library software systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary:
1400$ per month for 20 hours per week.
