Librarian

The Sharjah Public Library is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team. As the Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, providing reference services to patrons, and promoting library programs and resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library's collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding of materials.
- Provide reference services to patrons, including assisting with research, answering questions, and recommending resources.
- Develop and implement programs to promote library resources and engage the community.
- Assist with collection development by identifying new materials to add to the collection.
- Collaborate with other librarians and staff members to plan and coordinate events and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and statistics.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies in order to provide innovative services to patrons.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for working with people of all ages.
- Familiarity with library systems, databases, and technology.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Benefits:
