Executive Chef - Indian/Egyptian Cuisine (English Speaking) in Dubai
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef with a passion for Indian and Egyptian cuisine to lead our kitchen team in Dubai. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring high quality standards are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both English speaking staff and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus incorporating traditional Indian and Egyptian dishes
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food costs and budget accordingly
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or catering services
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment specializing in Indian/Egyptian cuisine
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Knowledgeable of traditional Indian/Egyptian cooking techniques and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, train, and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
Salary: $1400 USD per month (tax-free)
