Chef de Cuisine
We are in search of a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team at our upscale restaurant in Ajman. As a Malayalee, you will bring your expertise in traditional Kerala cuisine to create unique and flavorful dishes for our guests. You will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, training and supervising staff, and maintaining high levels of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and customer preferences
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and promotions
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and health codes
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a high-end restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Malayalee cuisine is required
- Fluent English communication skills are necessary to effectively lead the kitchen team
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff members
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
