Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef at our upscale restaurant in Dar Kulaib, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations. Your main goal will be to ensure top-quality food and service for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus, ensuring variety and creativity
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and dishwashers
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet company standards
- Control food costs by accurately forecasting and ordering ingredients
- Maintain proper sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management on budget planning and cost control measures
- Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new techniques to the kitchen team
- Handle any guest complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service promptly
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certificate from a recognized institution preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency preferred)
