Head Chef
As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and managing the culinary team at our restaurant in Al-Malikiyah. Your main goal will be to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality, while maintaining consistency and efficiency in the kitchen. You will also be responsible for creating new menu items and ensuring that food costs are kept within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Plan and create menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation to ensure high quality standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Manage food costs and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to manage a team effectively and delegate tasks appropriately
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to work
- Good communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Attention to detail with a focus on food presentation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary:
$1800/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location:
Al-Malikiyah (preference for Syrian nationals)
