Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at our high-end restaurant in Ajman. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious and visually appealing desserts for our customers. You will also oversee the pastry team, manage inventory and food costs, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating unique and innovative desserts, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a variety of delicious desserts to meet customer demand
- Supervise and train pastry team members to ensure consistency and quality
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, following all health codes and safety standards
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new dessert menu items
- Stay updated on current food trends, techniques, and ingredients
- Oversee the production of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, etc.
- Ensure all desserts are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards
- Monitor portion control to reduce waste
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Creative mindset with a passion for creating unique desserts
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Ajman (preferred city)
Preference: Indian nationals with experience in high-end restaurants
