Executive Chef for African Cuisine
Our restaurant in Ar-Ruwais is seeking an experienced Executive Chef specializing in African cuisine. This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$. The ideal candidate should have a passion for African cuisine and a strong understanding of traditional dishes and cooking techniques. A biometric passport is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop menus featuring authentic African dishes
- Oversee the kitchen operations and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff
- Order and maintain inventory of ingredients, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all dishes served
- Train staff on proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Monitor food costs and budget to maximize profitability
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in an African cuisine restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of traditional African ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
