Executive Chef - Doha, Qatar
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at a high-end restaurant in Doha, Qatar. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining the restaurant's high standards of quality and service. Responsibilities:
- Develop creative menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and appeal to our clientele
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Ensure high-quality dishes are consistently produced by conducting regular taste tests
- Manage inventory levels and ordering of ingredients to minimize waste and control costs
- Collaborate with restaurant management to monitor guest feedback and make necessary adjustments to menu items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in compliance with health codes
- Create daily specials based on seasonal ingredients or special events
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu items
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Proven ability to lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff effectively
- Proficient in creating diverse menus with various dietary restrictions/options (e.g. vegetarian/vegan)
- Strong understanding of food cost control measures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Fluent in Malayalam preferred but not required
- Must be able to legally work in Qatar
Salary: $1300/month (tax-free)
