Head Chef
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our customers. Your main duties will include menu planning, recipe development, food preparation, and supervising kitchen staff. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining inventory levels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating menus that are both innovative and appealing to our customers
- Developing new recipes and dishes that reflect current food trends
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standard of quality and presentation
- Managing inventory levels to control costs and minimize waste
- Training and supervising kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and delegating tasks
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at all times
- Complying with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members
- Collaborating with other departments, such as front-of-house staff, to ensure a seamless dining experience for customers
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and incorporating them into menu planning
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creativity in menu planning and recipe development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
