Librarian - English Speaking Contract Job in Abu Dhabi

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Librarian to join our library team in Abu Dhabi. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library resources and services. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of 1500$ per month.

Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library systems and databases
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members
- Preference for candidates who speak Malayalee or Egyptian dialects

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library collection including acquisitions, cataloging, and weeding out old materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries by providing guidance on how to use library resources effectively
- Answer reference questions and provide information on available materials related to specific topics or subjects
- Promote library resources and services through outreach programs, workshops, and social media platforms
- Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics, patron interactions, and inventory data
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new programs and services that meet the needs of the community
- Adhere to all library policies, procedures, and regulations
