Pastry Chef
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods. You will work closely with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and ensure that all pastries are made to the highest quality standards. You must have a strong understanding of different pastry techniques and be able to create both classic and innovative recipes.
Responsibilities:
- Create new pastry recipes and update existing ones
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts
- Decorate pastries with intricate designs
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
- Train new pastry chefs on techniques and recipes
- Ensure all pastries are presented in an attractive manner
- Adhere to food safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or relevant role
- Knowledge of different pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
- Creativity in developing new recipes and designs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills
- Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts is preferred
Salary: $1500 per month
Location: Hawalli, Kuwait
