Head Pastry Chef
A renowned bakery in Hawalli is seeking an experienced and skilled Head Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of all pastry items, managing a team of pastry chefs, and ensuring the quality and consistency of our baked goods. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new pastry recipes and menus
- Train and manage a team of pastry chefs, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Oversee the production process for all pastry items, ensuring quality standards are met
- Maintain inventory levels and order ingredients as needed
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments to maintain profitability
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to create special desserts for events or holidays
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume bakery or restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Creativity and passion for creating delicious pastries that exceed customer expectations
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification from a culinary school or specialized training in pastry arts
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- Fluency in English
