Insurance Adjuster
As an Insurance Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating insurance claims and determining their validity and coverage. You will work closely with policyholders, witnesses, and other professionals to gather information and assess the damages in order to come to a fair settlement. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of insurance claims
- Evaluate policy coverage and determine liability
- Gather evidence through interviews, site visits, and review of documents
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for settlement
- Negotiate settlements with policyholders or their representatives
- Keep accurate records of all communications and activities related to the claim
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Insurance Adjuster or related role
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies and coverage determination
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Empathy towards policyholders during difficult situations
- Valid work permit or own visa in Nairobi
