Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department at our luxury hotel in Al Ahmadi. You will be expected to create and develop new pastry recipes, manage inventory and budget, and lead and train a team of pastry chefs. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure will be key in ensuring the quality and consistency of our pastry offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Create new pastry recipes that align with the hotel's standards and guest preferences
- Oversee daily operations of the pastry department including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and creating production schedules
- Monitor costs and expenses to ensure profitability while maintaining high quality standards
- Train and mentor a team of pastry chefs to ensure consistency in product quality
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events and menu changes
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to food safety regulations
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in order to continuously improve our pastry offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience (at least 5 years) as a Pastry Chef or similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Ability to create visually appealing pastries while maintaining flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Salary:
Starting salary of 1700$ per month based on experience
