The Role
The Baker's responsibilities include assisting the Executive Pastry Chef in all his duties and takes responsibility for any particular projects assigned to him in bakery section. He/She is familiar with all major quality factors, bakery products and raw ingredients. He/She has experience in producing according to established required bakery products and assures that all items are identical with Recipes and Specifications.
- To ensure personal knowledge of the Market quantities available, standard of foods and seasonal market trends.
- To discuss quality factors and defects of purchased goods with the Executive Pastry Chef to determine value and corrective action when necessary.
- To assure a constant supply in Quality and Quantity to all outlets.
- Responsible of all bakery activities to ensure efficiency and high standards of operations in all restaurants, bars and events.
- Ensures bakery presentation and quality in all restaurants, bars and event spaces are of a very high standard.
Talent Profile
- Minimally 2 Years and above of work experience in a professional bakery
- Preferably experience with artisanal bread production
- Willing to work on morning shift and/or rotated shift
- Maintain a friendly and neat image at all times.
- Support internal best practices.
- Maintain highest standards of professionalism, ethics, grooming and attitude towards associates, guests/customers, suppliers and other clients.
