We are looking for a Cashier to join our team in Al-Kuwait. The successful candidate will need to be a highly organized individual with excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate should also have experience in handling cash transactions as well as a good understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
The main responsibilities of the Cashier include:
- Process cash, credit card, and check payments from customers
- Balance the daily transactions to ensure accuracy
- Sort, file, and count money at the end of each shift
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
- Greet customers when they arrive and thank them when they leave
- Answer questions about items in stock or pricing
- Monitor inventory levels and order more when necessary
- Follow all security measures when handling payments
The successful candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:
• At least one year of experience as a Cashier or similar role • Excellent customer service skills • Knowledge of accounting principles • Ability to calculate correctly without an aid of calculator or similar device • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast paced environment • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
