We are looking for a Cashier to join our team in Al-Kuwait. The successful candidate will need to be a highly organized individual with excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate should also have experience in handling cash transactions as well as a good understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
The main responsibilities of the Cashier include:
- Process cash, credit card, and check payments from customers
- Balance the daily transactions to ensure accuracy
- Sort, file, and count money at the end of each shift
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
- Greet customers when they arrive and thank them when they leave
- Answer questions about items in stock or pricing
- Monitor inventory levels and order more when necessary
- Follow all security measures when handling payments
The successful candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:
β’ At least one year of experience as a Cashier or similar role β’ Excellent customer service skills β’ Knowledge of accounting principles β’ Ability to calculate correctly without an aid of calculator or similar device β’ Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail β’ Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast paced environment β’ High school diploma required; bachelorβs degree preferred
