Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Accountant to join our team in Al-Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all financial activities related to the company’s accounts. You will be responsible for creating and monitoring budgets, preparing financial statements, managing cash flows, and analyzing financial results. The ideal candidate should have a degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of two years of professional experience in an accounting role. We are also willing to consider applicants with no prior experience but demonstrate exceptional aptitude and work ethic.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other related reports.
• Monitor daily cash flow operations and reconcile accounts from various sources.
• Maintain records of all payments made by customers and vendors.
• Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare journal entries for month-end close process.
• Manage accounts receivable process including invoicing, collections, dispute resolution and bad debt write-offs.
• Analyze financial information to detect discrepancies or irregularities that may need further investigation.
• Develop internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets; track actual expenses against budgeted amounts.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/management team .
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university is required; CPA is preferred but not required
• A minimum of two years’ professional experience in an accounting role; we are also willing to consider applicants with no prior experience who demonstrate exceptional aptitude and work ethic
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel is essential)
• Ability to analyze complex financial data accurately
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
