We are looking for an innovative and creative Sous Chef to join our team at Al-Kuwait. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a passion for cooking and have the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, managing a team of chefs and ensuring all dishes are cooked to perfection.
The successful applicant should have a keen eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and excellent culinary skills. They must also have a good understanding of health and hygiene regulations in order to ensure that our kitchen is kept to high standards of cleanliness. A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role is preferred but not required, as we are willing to consider foreign applicants with minimal work experience.
The Sous Chef’s main duties and responsibilities include: assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, ordering ingredients, overseeing food preparation, training new chefs, managing the staff roster, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, ensuring all dishes are cooked to perfection, creating new recipes as well as modifying existing ones and making sure that all food is served on time. They must also adhere to all health and safety regulations when preparing meals for customers.
