Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years' experience as an Instrument Technician in a similar environment.
• Experience in calibration of instruments, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems.
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

The Instrument Technician is responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing malfunctions in all types of instruments used within the plant. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that all instruments are working correctly by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols and regulations at all times. The technician will also be responsible for documentation relating to instrument maintenance activities such as calibration records, test results and maintenance logs. The technician must have excellent problem solving skills to identify instrument malfunctions quickly and accurately in order to minimize downtime. Other responsibilities include advising on or selecting suitable components for instrument repairs or replacements; performing preventive maintenance on instruments; creating reports; providing technical assistance on instrument issues; liaising with third-party vendors; monitoring stock levels; keeping up-to-date with current industry trends; participating in continuous improvement initiatives; adhering to health & safety regulations; complying with company policies & procedures at all times; contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed; maintaining a clean & safe work environment by following safety protocols & good housekeeping practices at all times
