Head Pastry Chef
We are a well-established bakery and cafe in Bayan, seeking an experienced and creative Head Pastry Chef to oversee our pastry department. As a leading figure in our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and executing new pastry recipes, managing inventory, training and supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and implement new pastry recipes that align with our menu offerings and customer preferences
- Manage inventory levels by ordering supplies, monitoring usage, and minimizing waste
- Train and supervise pastry staff on techniques, recipes, portion control, and food safety regulations
- Oversee the production of all pastries to ensure consistent quality and presentation
- Collaborate with other departments to develop cross-promotional menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen area
- Monitor food costs to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving goals
- Creativity in developing new recipes while also being able to follow established recipes accurately
- Ability to manage inventory levels efficiently
- Strong communication skills in English
- Passion for creating delicious pastries that exceed customer expectations
Salary: $1000 per month
Note: This position is open to all nationalities. However, preference will be given to Indian candidates who are fluent in English.
