Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Salalah, Oman. As the head pastry chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, including menu creation, recipe development, and team management. Your creativity and expertise in pastry arts will be crucial in elevating our dessert offerings and providing our guests with a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new and innovative pastry recipes that reflect the latest trends and seasonal ingredients
- Create and update menu items for both à la carte and special events
- Train and supervise a team of pastry chefs to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Order ingredients and supplies, monitor inventory levels, and control food costs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards at all times
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a head pastry chef or similar role
- Professional culinary training or certification in pastry arts
- Extensive knowledge of various baking techniques, including breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while promoting a positive work culture
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other departments as well as communicate with guests
Salary: $1100 per month
