Head Pastry Chef
Our luxury hotel in Nizwa is seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our pastry offerings, including desserts, pastries, and breads for our restaurant, banquets, and room service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and innovative pastry recipes in line with our hotel's culinary concept
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs in techniques and menu items
- Oversee the production of high-quality desserts, pastries, and breads for all outlets
- Ensure proper inventory control and ordering of ingredients
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus for special events
- Participate in menu planning meetings with executive chef and F&B team
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and trends
- Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience working in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurants preferred
- Passion for creating beautiful and delicious desserts
Salary: $1200 USD per month
