Indian Cuisine Chef
As an Indian Cuisine Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing authentic Indian dishes in our restaurant located in Hawalli, Kuwait. You must have a passion for cooking and a deep understanding of the rich flavors and spices used in Indian cuisine. Your main duties will include preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining a high level of quality, consistency, and presentation. You will also be responsible for overseeing the kitchen staff, managing inventory and ordering supplies, as well as ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
To excel in this role, you must have at least 3 years of experience as an Indian Cuisine Chef in a restaurant setting. You should also possess excellent knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and be able to adapt recipes to meet dietary restrictions or preferences. Strong leadership skills are essential for managing kitchen staff effectively and maintaining a smooth operation during busy periods.
In addition to your culinary skills, you should have excellent time-management abilities to ensure timely preparation of meals without compromising quality. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure consistency in taste and presentation. You must also be physically fit as this job requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in hot environments.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, great communication skills, and be able to work well under pressure. Fluency in Hindi or any other Indian language is preferred but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary for this role.
