Executive Chef - Hawalli
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation at our upscale restaurant in Hawalli. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating unique and high-quality dishes, as well as experience in managing a team of culinary professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and innovative menus that align with the restaurant's concept
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including portion control, quality assurance, and presentation
- Train, manage, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food costs and work to increase profitability without sacrificing quality
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide exceptional dining experiences for guests
- Continuously seek ways to improve menu offerings and enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Passion for culinary arts and staying up-to-date on industry trends
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Familiarity with menu costing procedures
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fine dining restaurants
- Proficient in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
Salary: $1500 USD per month
Location: Hawalli, Kuwait
Note: This position does not include accommodation or visa sponsorship. Preference will be given to candidates who already hold a valid visa for Kuwait.
