Head Chef at a Fine Dining Restaurant in Nizwa
Our fine dining restaurant in Nizwa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our menu, managing food costs, and ensuring consistent high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and design innovative and seasonal menus that align with our restaurant's concept
- Manage food costs and inventory to ensure profitability while maintaining quality
- Train, coach, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including scheduling, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed in the kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent work experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and menu development
- Ability to manage food costs while maintaining high-quality standards
- Creative mindset with a passion for creating unique dishes
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with front-of-house staff
Salary: $1800 USD per month (tax-free)
Location: Nizwa, Oman (open to all nationalities)
