Pastry Chef
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious pastries and desserts for our restaurant in Hawalli. Your main duties will include developing new recipes, managing ingredients and supplies, and ensuring high quality standards are maintained. Our ideal candidate should have previous experience in a similar role, strong attention to detail, and creativity in pastry making. You must also possess excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with other chefs and kitchen staff. This position offers a salary of 1100$ per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new pastry recipes that meet our restaurant's standards
- Manage inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
- Maintain high level of cleanliness in the pastry kitchen area
- Work closely with other chefs to coordinate dessert offerings with the main menu
- Attend meetings with management to discuss new menu ideas and specials
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends in pastry making
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
- Knowledge of different pastry techniques (e.g. baking, decorating)
- Ability to create visually appealing pastries
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Fluent in English
