Head Pastry Chef
We are searching for a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Salalah. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing all pastry and dessert offerings in our restaurant. You will lead a team of pastry chefs and bakers, ensuring the quality and consistency of our pastries, cakes, and desserts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing new pastry and dessert recipes that complement our menu
- Overseeing the production and plating of all pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies to maintain stock levels
- Training and supervising pastry chefs and bakers to ensure high-quality products
- Ensuring food safety standards are met at all times
- Collaborating with other chefs to create seasonal menus
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creativity in designing new recipes while staying true to traditional techniques
- Ability to manage a team effectively, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
