Head Pastry Chef - Medina, Saudi Arabia
As a Head Pastry Chef at our luxury hotel in Medina, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our pastry department. You will use your creative skills and passion for baking to lead a team of pastry chefs in creating delicious and visually appealing desserts for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise the production of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods in accordance with the hotel's standards
- Develop new and innovative dessert recipes while also ensuring consistency and quality of existing ones
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain stock levels and control costs
- Train, mentor, and motivate a team of pastry chefs to ensure high standards are consistently met
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Liaise with other departments to ensure timely delivery of pastries for events or special requests
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu offerings
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, flavor combinations, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage budgets, inventory, and staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills a plus)
- Team player with strong leadership qualities
Salary:
Starting salary of $1600 per month with potential for growth based on performance.
