Pastry Chef
We are in search of a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Salalah. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delectable pastries and desserts, as well as a strong understanding of various baking techniques and ingredients. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for developing new recipes, managing inventory and orders, and ensuring quality control in the kitchen. Responsibilities:
- Create new pastry recipes that are visually appealing and flavorful
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies needed for pastry production
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of pastries for events and orders
- Maintain high standards of food quality by conducting regular taste tests
- Train new staff members on proper pastry techniques and procedures
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate them into the menu offerings
- Monitor equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and sanitation in the pastry kitchen
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or bakery
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics
Salary:
$900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location:
Salalah, Oman (applicants holding Omani nationality are preferred)
