We are looking for a Chef to join our team in Riyadh. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and be eager to learn. The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail and demonstrate a passion for the culinary arts.
Requirements:
-A minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen setting or equivalent education
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Excellent knife skills and knowledge of food safety procedures
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
-Ability to take direction and work with a team
-Fluency in English is essential
Job Responsibilities:
-Prepare ingredients as necessary such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, etc.
-Cook meals according to recipes while adhering to food safety standards
-Assist other chefs when needed on larger orders or events
-Ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of presentation and quality
-Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area at all times
-Maintain high levels of customer service at all times
Job Duties:
-Prepare meals for customers in accordance with menu specifications -Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing to ensure food is prepared in accordance with recipes and standards -Ensure that all food items are stored properly to maintain freshness/quality -Respond quickly to customer inquiries or complaints -Inform supervisors when supplies are low or equipment malfunctions
Working Conditions: The successful candidate will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Cooks typically work long hours in hot kitchen environments so it is important that they remain organized throughout each shift.
