Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Chef to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate should have exceptional culinary skills, a passion for food and customer service, and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our kitchen staff in producing delicious meals for our customers while maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen. This position offers a competitive salary of 1300. We are willing to consider an immigrant applicant with the right qualifications.
Demands for the Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience managing professional kitchens, as well as knowledge of menu planning and food cost control systems. The Executive Chef must also be able to train kitchen staff, delegate tasks effectively, maintain high standards of customer service, and stay informed of current trends in the culinary industry.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Executive Chef will be to ensure that all meals produced meet the highest standards of quality, creativity, presentation, and taste. Other responsibilities include developing menus, managing inventory levels and ordering supplies, training staff on proper cooking techniques, adhering to health codes and sanitation guidelines, monitoring portion sizes and waste control systems, creating daily specials according to seasonal ingredients available, controlling labor costs by scheduling hours appropriately, resolving customer complaints promptly and professionally, preparing budget forecasts for kitchen expenses; and ensuring that health regulations are followed at all times.
Working Conditions:
The Executive Chef will be expected to work long hours in a busy kitchen environment with temperatures that can reach up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43 Celsius). Depending on the size of the restaurant they may also need to manage multiple kitchens simultaneously. They may also have access to hot surfaces such as fryers or griddles as well as sharp knives or other equipment that could cause injury if handled improperly. The position requires standing for long periods of time as well as lifting up to 50 pounds (23 kilos).
Skills:
Experienced Executive Chefs must possess excellent leadership qualities along with strong organizational skills. Successful candidates should have excellent management capabilities along with outstanding communication skills both verbally and written; knowledge of food safety regulations; creativity; knowledge of international cuisine styles; problem-solving abilities; experience with cost analysis/budgeting; ability to work independently or with a team; attention to detail; multitasking abilities; basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook); experience developing recipes/menus; understanding of nutrition standards; proficiency in knife handling techniques including use of Japanese knives is desirable but not required.
