Job Title: Executive Chef
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Salary: 1200 SAR
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Riyadh. We expect the candidate to have a minimum of two years of work experience in the restaurant industry and a good understanding of international cuisine.
The successful candidate should have excellent organizational, communication and management skills, as well as a passion for food and cooking. He or she should be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other chefs and kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and develop menus according to customers’ preference and dietary requirements
• Manage day-to-day operations in the kitchen by supervising staff, assigning duties, ordering supplies, monitoring food quality and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Ensure high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health & safety in all areas of the kitchen
• Maintain cost control systems to minimize wastage
• Monitor stock levels in food inventory management system; purchase supplies when necessary • Lead training sessions for new chefs on menu items preparation standards; provide guidance on customer service standards when needed
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as an Executive Chef (or similar role) in a restaurant environment is required; we are willing to consider immigrant applicants with minimal work experience
• Proven track record of successful menu planning & development; knowledge on international cuisine is a plus
• Working knowledge about food hygiene regulations & safety standards; certified by relevant authorities such as HACCP is a plus
• Outstanding organization & communication skills; ability to direct & lead kitchen staff
