Executive Chef job in Riyadh Saudi Arabia
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Riyadh. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food is served in our restaurant, and the overall quality of food preparation and presentation. The Executive Chef will have a complete knowledge of the menu items, standards, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures.
The successful candidate must possess exceptional culinary skills with the ability to plan menus and coordinate all related culinary activities. They should have excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. We also require excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in English language.
Responsibilities include:
• Planning menus in consultation with customers and taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and nutritional value;
• Estimating food requirements;
• Purchasing food items;
• Preparing meals;
• Ensuring the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times;
• Supervising catering staff;
• Monitoring food production to ensure high standards are maintained;
• Making sure health and safety regulations are strictly observed;
• Investigating complaints about service or meals;
• Organizing staff shifts.
Requirements for this position include:
• A minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within an international setting;
• A national certificate or diploma in professional cookery/culinary arts/hospitality management or equivalent qualification;
• Professional expertise in various international cuisines including Asian, Middle Eastern & European dishes as well as knowledge of both hot & cold preparation techniques;
• Knowledge of contemporary trends & innovations in cuisine & presentation techniques; • Proven record of effectively managing kitchen staff while maintaining high standards & profitability objectives.
