Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to join our kitchen staff in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of desserts, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods while ensuring that all recipes and presentations meet our high standards of quality. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, a passion for baking, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This position offers a salary of 1600 (negotiable) and we are willing to consider foreign applicants.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Pastry Chef is to prepare a wide variety of desserts, cakes, pastries, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods according to recipes provided by the kitchen staff. The chef will be responsible for managing all ingredients including butter, sugar, eggs, milk products, flour and other dry ingredients. Additionally they will ensure all baked goods are stored properly and rotated on a regular basis to maintain freshness. They must also ensure that all kitchen tools are clean and in good working order at all times.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position we require at least two years of professional experience in the baking industry as well as formal culinary training from an accredited institution. Additionally we require candidates to possess excellent organizational skills as well as strong interpersonal skills when working with members of the kitchen staff or customers directly. An in-depth knowledge of food safety regulations is also essential for this role as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision while still meeting all deadlines set by management.
