Pastry Chef at a Luxury Hotel in Medina, Egypt
We are hiring an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a prestigious luxury hotel in the beautiful city of Medina, Egypt. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious desserts and pastries for our guests. Our ideal candidate is passionate about pastry making and has a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to our menu and standards
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality of products
- Decorate pastries using various piping techniques and artistic skills
- Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety standards
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ordering as needed
- Train junior pastry chefs on techniques, recipes, and presentation skills
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new menu items or improve existing ones
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Knowledge of different pastry-making techniques including baking, decorating, glazing, etc.
- Creativity in designing visually appealing desserts that also taste delicious
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations
- Degree or certification from a culinary school is preferred
- Egyptian nationality preferred
- English language skills are not required
