Head Pastry Chef
We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Muscat. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, from menu creation to managing a team of pastry chefs.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop unique and innovative pastry menu items that align with our restaurant's concept
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all pastry dishes
- Train and manage a team of pastry chefs, ensuring high-quality standards are met at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health codes
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Develop new recipes and make adjustments to existing ones based on customer feedback or seasonal availability of ingredients
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, bringing fresh ideas to the table
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of ingredients, baking techniques, and food safety standards
- Creativity and passion for creating delicious desserts that leave a lasting impression on customers
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient production during busy service periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
